Livorno have officially appointed technical director Attilio Perotti as their new Coach after sacking Davide Nicola.
The announcement of Nicola’s exit was made this morning, but a successor had not been named until now.
It is not clear whether this is as a caretaker manager or until the end of the season, but Perotti has come out of coaching retirement for this position.
It’s not the first time he has done this, as the technical director also took charge as Coach for the final five rounds of the 2011-12 Serie B campaign.
That was Perotti’s only coaching job since 2006, when he left Genoa and preferred to work as a director.
