Napoli’s official radio station denied Swiss reports Valon Behrami could be out for two months with a fractured toe.

Media in Switzerland had suggested a lengthy lay-off and blamed the club medical staff for not spotting a micro-fracture to a toe in his left foot.

Napoli’s official radio station denied Swiss reports Valon Behrami could be out for two months with a fractured toe.

Media in Switzerland had suggested a lengthy lay-off and blamed the club medical staff for not spotting a micro-fracture to a toe in his left foot.

“The medical consultation showed nothing new,” insisted Diego De Luca on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“Behrami has to rest, as he is still feeling pain, and will not be there for the trip to Verona. There is absolutely no fracture to his foot, so the rumours of a two-month stop are false.”

The midfielder has seen specialists in both Italy and Germany, but has only been diagnosed with a heavy bruise to the toe which is preventing him from training regularly.
