Genoa want Man Utd's Buttner

Genoa are reportedly close to signing Alexander Buttner on loan from Manchester United.

According to Tuttosport, the 24-year-old Dutch left-back is on the verge of completing his temporary switch to Serie A.

Arriving in August 2012, Buttner has struggled to see first team football, managing only six appearances all season between the Champions League, Premier League and League Cup.

Genoa have targeted the defender and the Turin-based newspaper claims his agent confirmed negotiations for a loan spell.

Meanwhile, it’s also reported that Napoli’s talks for Genoa wide man Luca Antonelli have broken down.

The Rossoblu are also said to be tracking Juventus benchwarmer Paolo De Ceglie and Roma forward Marquinhos.
