The loan move has not been made official, but French club Montpellier today released a photograph of Niang training with his new teammates.

“I came here to help this club in its comeback and the Coach was very important in my decision,” said the 19-year-old forward.

“The squad has talent, I want to return to the field and prove I haven’t lost my confidence or quality. I can get back to being the player I was.”

Niang scored just one goal in 33 games for Milan in all competition, netted in a Coppa Italia Round of 16 tie against Reggina in December 2012.
