Atalanta’s Giacomo Bonaventura is hoping to find the consistency of last season in order to make it to Brazil 2014.
The versatile midfielder was rewarded for his significant 2012-13 campaign with a maiden cap by Cesare Prandelli, but he hasn’t featured since.
“I’ll look to the future with optimism,” Bonaventura stated. “Everyone wants to go to the World Cup though.
“I just hope that I can play as I did last season and boss Stefano Colantuono is really helping my cause.”
The 24-year-old, recently out with injury, has scored one goal in 11 Serie A games so far this term.
