“We respect our opponents, as Lazio are a side with great quality, but we have to play our own game,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“If we do what we have to and do it well, then we can challenge anyone. That’s not arrogance. We trained well this week and must ensure we are ready to close the year on a high.

“Lazio will also certainly be fired up, but we’re on our own turf here and therefore it’s going to be a battle royal.”

Verona have won all but one of their eight home games this season, falling only against local rivals Chievo.

“Luca Toni is decisive for us, just as Miroslav Klose is for Lazio. We must keep a close eye on Klose, as he is quicker than Toni and attacks the space more.

“Antonio Candreva is a fantastic player who has really matured. Perhaps Lazio think it might be easy, but they’ll get a response on the pitch.”

Ezequiel Cirigliano is injured, while Juan Iturbe needs a fitness test after coming down with flu over the weekend.

Verona squad for Lazio: Rafael, Nicolas, Borra; Agostini, Bianchetti, Albertazzi, Moras, Cacciatore, Maietta, Marques, Gonzalez, Rubin; Donati, Hallfredsson, Jorginho, Martinho, Donadel, Romulo, Laner; Longo, Cacia, Toni, Gomez Taleb, Sala, Iturbe, Jankovic
