Gokhan Inler is convinced Napoli are still in the Scudetto race despite being eight points adrift of leaders Juventus.
“We had a good start this season then some defeats in Serie A and Champions League,” the midfielder told The Hard Tackle.
“Unfortunately, we did not manage to advance in the Champions League, but we left the competition with 12 points.
“It’s time to reorganize ourselves and fight for the Serie A title!”
Napoli have managed to maintain their competitiveness despite the departures of players such as Ezequiel Lavezzi, Edinson Cavani and boss Walter Mazzarri in recent years.
“Of course we felt the departures of high calibre players such as Cavani,” the former Udinese man continued.
“It was important for us to find the perfect replacements for them and I think we did well in this case with the signing of Gonzalo Higuain.
“Napoli is all about the collective and the passion for the game. Not only in the team or club, but all over the city, football is life.
“This is fascinating!”
Napoli will be away at Cagliari in Week 17.
