There were several media sources claiming on Saturday that Thohir had contacted Ajax tactician Frank De Boer either for next season or even to take over in January.
“Mazzarri is a great professional and an excellent Coach. I trust Mazzarri and so does the whole management,” Thohir told Adn-Kronos news agency.
“He has the utmost respect of the club and players. This, along with his competence, makes him the right man in the right place.
“His project at Inter has just begun and together we will define the next steps to bring this team towards important objectives.
“I have not, and neither have any of my staff, contacted any other Coaches. We don’t see the need.”
Tonight Inter will play Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo in a head-to-head for European places or even the Scudetto race.
“It is an important match, but not a decisive one,” added Thohir.
