Fiorentina go into the Europa League draw on Monday and Borja Valero would prefer to “avoid Porto and Ajax.”
The Viola will be top seeds for the Round of 32, having dominated their group with five wins and a draw.
This stage of the competition will include the sides that finished third in their Champions League groups, including Juventus and Napoli.
“We have faith in ourselves and fear nobody, even if every team is difficult,” the Spanish midfielder told Sky Sport Italia.
“Avoiding Porto and Ajax would be a good start. Juventus and Napoli coming down to the Europa League is not good for Italian football.
“It’s a shame Napoli went out after such a great group phase, putting together an impressive 12 points.”
