Italy face a choice between two training camps for the World Cup – one in a safari park and another close to a nudist beach.

The Azzurri have been placed in Group D alongside Uruguay, England and Costa Rica, while their games will be played in Manaus, Recife and Natal.

It is widely believed they will be based at the Portobello Resort and Safari, 105km away from Rio de Janeiro.

The Magaratiba resort has already been pre-booked by the Italian Federation and has 152 rooms, which would allow the players’ families to stay with them.

Travel could be a problem, as it is two hours away from the airport, so the team would have to fly in and out using the Santa Cruz military airbase, which is 60km away.

The alternative would be Blue Tree Park resort in Buzios, to the north of Rio.

This camp is closer to the airport, but is much smaller and most famous for its vicinity to a nudist beach.
