Inter man Saphir Taider felt his Coppa Italia goal against Trapani was special, as “it was my first at San Siro.”

The former Bologna attacking midfielder was on target in last night’s 3-2 victory over Serie B minnows Trapani.

“It was my first goal at San Siro so that's always nice, but it was important to go through,” he told Sky Sport Italia and the official Inter website.

“Is it true that San Siro brings with it a sort of complex for young players? No, I don't look at things that way, it's always a pleasure to be able to play at the Meazza.

“I know I'm still young and I've got a lot to learn, that's why I came to Inter. I try to improve every day and I know I still have a lot to work on.

“The Coach is giving me confidence and every time I go out there I try to give my all, but obviously no two games are the same. I’m playing in a different position this season and I’m happy because I like to be on the ball and defend.”

Taider is also impressed with new Inter President Erick Thohir.

“He gives young players a chance, so we’re confident.”
