“I remain disappointed and angry, but thankfully we already have a game tomorrow that can allow us to close that chapter and open up another,” said Bologna Coach Pioli in a Press conference.

His side was knocked out of the Coppa Italia Fourth Round on Tuesday by Siena in the last minute of extra time.

“The players know what to do and from yesterday we started preparing to face Juventus. We must play with great spirit and tempo, but also certainly try to play the best possible football.

“It will require the right quality and character to control the ball and make life difficult for our opponents. This is a game where we must believe in our chances.”

The Serie A Week 15 tie is brought forward to Friday so that Juventus can prepare for their Champions League trip to Galatasaray.

“Juventus are accustomed to not underestimating any test or any team, so they will not be distracted by their European commitments. They want to keep this positive streak going.”

Former Juve defender Frederik Sorensen is suspended, while Henry Gimenez and Davide Moscardelli are ruled out by injury.

Alessandro Diamanti should be fit to start after missing last week’s 1-1 draw with Parma due to a bout of flu.
