The Elefantini are fired up after a desperately-needed victory over Udinese” data-scaytid=”7″>Udinese, the first since De Canio took over from Rolando Maran.

“Those three points against Udinese were certainly useful, both in the table and psychologically,” confessed the Coach in his Press conference.

“Winning gives you belief and allows you to work with more conviction. Let it be clear, though, there will be no resting on laurels.

“The two teams are close in the table, so it’s only natural a victory would be even more important in this fixture. Toro have always been relatively comfortable in the standings this season, but I want us to take it one game at a time.”

De Canio tried to reassure Maxi Lopez, who has been going through a very public divorce after his wife Wanda left him for Inter striker Mauro Icardi.

“He hasn’t gone through an easy time, but must set the example for his teammates. I am not just talking about a goal, as that can arrive or not, but his work for the team is essential. He’s a good lad and an excellent professional.”
