Genoa boss Gian Piero Gasperini says he won’t be fooled by Milan’s League position going into Saturday’s San Siro tie.

The Rossoneri are struggling in tenth – three places below the Rossoblu – and they have won just one of their last six ties.

Gasperini, though, is respectful of the threat the Diavolo will pose when Serie A resumes after the international break.

“Their League placing does really surprise me, but I won’t be affected by that because Massimiliano Allegri’s side are of a high level,” the tactician, who will be without Juraj Kucka, noted.

“We won’t change tactically, though, and we want to replicate our away performance at the Stadio Olimpico when we got the three points against Lazio.

“I’m just hoping that Milan will be thinking about their Champions League tie at Celtic next week.

“We want to have a good game, we’ll try to limit Mario Balotelli and their attackers.”

Genoa squad: Antonelli, Antonini, Bertolacci, Biondini, Bizzarri, Calaiò, Centurion, Cofie, De Maio, Donnarumma, Fetfatzidis, Gamberini, Gilardino, Konate, Lodi, Manfredini, Marchese, Matuzalem, Perin, Portanova, Sampirisi, Santana, Stoian, Vrsaljko.
