Arrigo Sacchi has revealed that when he was technical director at Parma, they tried to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Milan and Italian national team boss was on the board at the Crociati in 2001, and has claimed that they tried to bring a 16-year-old Ronaldo.
“When I was technical at Parma we tried to buy Cristiano Ronaldo from Sporting Lisbon,” he told reporters.
“He would have cost €11m.
“To tell you the truth, I like Cristiano the most when he was at Manchester United. No one had an instinct for goal like he did then.”
