Galatasaray forward Burak Yilmaz has told reporters that Lazio is a ‘closed chapter’ in his life after flirting with the capital club.
The Turkey international was heavily linked with a switch to Stadio Olimpico in the summer, but the goalscorer has insisted that he is happy in Istanbul.
“Lazio is a closed chapter for me,” he admitted to totemspor. “Lazio almost closed the deal to sign me in the summer.
“But now I am happy at Galatasaray – both on and off the pitch.
“The President says he is proud of my work, and in my head, everything about Lazio is forgotten.”
