Eugenio Corini has called for his Chievo players to be ready physically and mentally when they face Hellas Verona on Saturday.

The Flying Donkeys play their bitter city rivals this weekend, in the first derby for over a decade.

“We’re ready for this game,” he told reporters. “It’s going to take physical aggression and concentration.

“We have to be productive when we’re on the ball, and work hard when we’re off it.

“We can’t wait for the game. We don’t want to focus on the emotional aspect of the tie – we’re just focusing on the technical and tactical aspect.

“Toni is vital for them – he’s fundamental to the way they play.”
