Sinisa Mihajlovic will be installed as the new Sampdoria boss once Delio Rossi is axed, states Il Secolo XIX.
The Genoa-based publication is this morning stating that Rossi will be shown the door after the 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina.
Rossi was only hired in December as a replacement for Ciro Ferrara. Doria are in the relegation zone after picking up only two wins and nine points from their 12 games.
Once Rossi is dismissed, Doria officials are hoping to hire Sinisa Mihajlovic – the man who is currently in charge of the Serbian national side.
Mihajlovic, 44, is a former player at Sampdoria who has Serie A coaching experience with Bologna, Catania and Fiorentina.
Samp’s next two games are against Lazio and Inter – two clubs who the former defender and midfielder appeared for during his career.
Eugenio Corini and Zdenek Zeman have also been paired with the Marassi outfit in recent weeks.
