Brazil boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is delighted with the Serie A returns of Kaka and Douglas Maicon.

The attacking midfielder has re-joined Milan after a number of frustrating seasons at Real Madrid, while the right-back left Manchester City for Roma.

“I’m happy with Kaka’s choice,” the former Chelsea tactician stated. “He is now at a club who can offer him the chance to return to 100 per cent.

“It is the right situation for him. I am watching all of the Milan games because there is the possibility that I will call him up in the future.

“He can get back to his best.”

Kaka hasn’t played for his country since an October 2012 tie against Japan.

“As for Maicon, he had a few injury problems at Manchester City to begin with and then he didn’t have the chance to play regularly,” Scolari continued.

“His decision to move to Roma was excellent. He’ll be able to demonstrate all of his qualities and he now stands a better chance of being selected.”

Brazil play Honduras and Chile this month, but neither of the duo have been selected.
