Lucas Castro has assured Catania fans that they won’t be watching Serie B football next season.
The Sicilian club have endured a problematic start to the season which has already seen Gigi De Canio replace Rolando Maran as boss.
“This team will survive,” the Argentine told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “We can do it.
“We play Udinese next and that is the right game to start collecting points again.”
Catania are second from bottom in the standings, having collected just six points from 11 games so far. They have lost three of their last four ties.
“My objective? I want to get more than the four goals I scored last season,” added Castro, a midfielder with two strikes in nine ties this term.
