“I don’t see a critical situation,” assured the Coach after a 3-0 home loss to Bologna on Wednesday night.

“I see the lads, who are in good shape. It’s up to us now to give a response on the field and prove the Bologna defeat was just a setback, the kind that can happen over a season.

“You get out of these situations with grit and determination. I don’t think we lack those elements, but clearly we need more. We’ve all got to give something more, limiting the mistakes and showing more consistency.

“I think the psychological aspect will be more important than tactical in this game. Verona have enthusiasm and pace, so we know that a battle awaits us. We must be ready for it.

“Good players emerge in difficult times and we’ve got the good players. Our destiny is still in our hands and we need to lift our heads.”
