“We mustn’t think that Cagliari will give us an easy game, because they can be devastating with space to run into,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“They have always achieved strong results and have a consolidated group. It will be extremely tough, especially as they are coming off a defeat and will want to prove themselves.”

Verona won five consecutive home ties, but are without Ezequiel Cirigliano, Gomez Taleb, Nikolay Mihaylov and the suspended Evangelos Moras.

“Luca Toni? He is accustomed to playing every three days and knows what it entails. Agostini is back, while Jorginho needs some time to recover fully. Juan Iturbe will definitely start.”

Mandorlini was asked about a contract renewal, seeing as he took Verona to promotion and such a strong start to the season.

“We never discussed it. I am focused on the present and the next match.”

Verona squad for Cagliari: Rafael, Nicolas; Agostini, Bianchetti, Gonzalez, Cacciatore, Albertazzi, Maietta, Rubin, Marques; Donati, Hallfredsson, Laner, Jorginho, Martinho, Donadel, Romulo; Longo, Cacia, Toni, Sala, Jankovic, Iturbe
