Gigi De Canio makes his debut on the Catania bench today and warned not to “underestimate Sassuolo.”
The Coach replaced Rolando Maran last Sunday after one win, two draws and five defeats.

“Quality and hard work are two elements that must co-exist,” said De Canio.
“Catania have many players of great quality in the squad and I hope they will put both those elements on to the field.
“We must not underestimate Sassuolo, especially seeing how they have played in recent games. However, they will be feeling the same way about us.
“Catania need to get back to what this team was before, with the right humility and respect for all our opponents. The lads had the right approach in training this week, so I am confident.”
Nicola Legrottaglie and Pablo Alvarez are suspended, while Nicolas Spolli and Giuseppe Bellusci miss out with injury.
“We have some difficulties. Mariano Andujar will start in goal, but for the rest I’ll decide on Sunday morning.”
