“Two years ago, I could have moved to Paris SG,” the centre-back told France Football. “I was contacted by [then sporting director] Leonardo, but Udinese” data-scaytid=”6″>Udinese didn’t want to sell me.
“I have no regrets though,” he insisted. “I’m happy to be playing my football in Italy, I have grown and matured on a human and professional level.
“I had no desire to start again in a new championship.”
The Moroccan international cost the capital club €13.5m from Udinese in the summer. He is now part of a defence which has conceded just one goal in eight games.
