Joaquin has revealed the reasons why he left Malaga in the summer and chose Fiorentina.
The Spanish winger has been a peripheral figure for the Viola this term, starting just two games for Vincenzo Montella’s men.
But the midfielder has explained why he opted for the Tuscan club and told of the team’s ambitions.
“In the summer I received several offers,” he told AS. “From Spanish clubs and teams abroad.
“But I had to go for Fiorentina because they were the ones that wanted me most of all.
“I was also curious to measure myself against the Italian League – which is the one I consider most similar with Spain.
“I felt immediately at home in Florence. Everything has gone in the right direction.
“The player who has impressed me the most is Borja Valero.
“I’d give everything to win the Scudetto. It would make me very happy.”
