Guidolin: 'Udinese vulnerable'

Francesco Guidolin demands “determination and aggression” from Udinese against Cagliari. “Without those, we are incredibly vulnerable.”

“When we are able to put determination and aggression into our performances, we play very well,” explained the Coach in his Press conference.

“Without those elements, we suddenly become incredibly vulnerable. The squad is young, so any talk of the players being sated by success is absurd. Even in world champions, that concept for me simply doesn’t exist.”

Maurizio Domizzi is still unavailable, though Luis Muriel and Giampiero Pinzi are back in the squad. Guidolin hinted Uruguay Under-20 striker Nico Lopez could get his first start.

“We are starting to understand each other. Nico has great quality and works hard, so he can play either behind the striker or wide in a trident.

“Muriel can only play for a short time, as he only just returned to training. Pinzi has put his fitness problems behind him, while Domizzi is still a big loss. He’ll return after the break for international duty.”

Udinese squad for Cagliari: Benussi, Kelava, ScuffetBasta, Bubnjic, Danilo, Douglas, Gabriel Silva, Heurtaux, Naldo, Widmer; Allan, Badu, Lazzari, Merkel, Mlinar, Pereyra, Pinzi, Zielinski; Di Natale, Muriel, Maicosuel, Nico Lopez, Ranegie
