Ciro Immobile has urged his Torino teammates to forget about the controversial loss to city rivals Juventus.
The Granata were defeated 1-0 on Sunday, but Paul Pogba’s header should have been ruled out given that Carlos Tevez played a part in the goal from an offside position.
A war of words then broke out between the two clubs, especially after Juventus boss Antonio Conte suggested Immobile should have been sent off for a foul on Tevez.
“We need to stop thinking about the derby otherwise we’ll never get away from it psychologically,” said the former Italian Under-21 international.
“Now we’ve got the game against Sampdoria and we have work to do in order to get back on the right track.”
Toro are joint-eighth in the table after picking up eight points from the first six games of the campaign.
