Juan Camilo Zuniga has signed a five-year Napoli contract extension, reportedly including a €35m buy-out clause.
“I love the club and the fans, while I am very happy living in Naples. I hope to end my career here.”
The wing-back’s current deal was set to expire at the end of the season and the delays in agreeing a new package fuelled reports of a move to Juventus.
However, the Colombian international pen to paper today, as announced by President Aurelio De Laurentiis on Twitter.
“I always believed in Camilo and he believed in Napoli! He deserved our recognition,” said the patron.
Zuniga is expected to earn €4m per season plus performance-related bonuses and the club is protected by a buy-out clause worth €35m.
He has also been linked with Liga giants Barcelona.
