Cagliari goalkeeper Michael Agazzi has apologised to his teammates after a howler in the 2-2 draw with Sampdoria.
The shot-stopper allowed Manolo Gabbiadini’s strike to slip through his hands and legs at the 89th minute, then he got a palm to a deflected Lorenzo De Silvestri effort in stoppages but couldn’t keep it out for 2-2.
“My serious mistake on Gabbiadini’s shot compromised our victory,” confessed Agazzi.
“I am sorry for my teammates, who put in a great performance. Unfortunately, mistakes can happen.
“We must all look forward. I must train even harder to improve so I can give my contribution to the side.”
