The Diavolo have released a brief statement on their website which states the summer signing from Real Madrid has picked up a left adductor problem.

The Brazilian suffered the thigh strain in his second League debut for the Diavolo during the 2-2 draw with Torino on Saturday evening.

Although the outfit have stated that the attacking midfielder will be examined again in about 10 days, it is being claimed elsewhere that he will be sidelined for at least four weeks with the issue.

Kaka could be thus available again for the game against Udinese on October 19 – three days before the Champions League tie against Barcelona.

Riccardo Montolivo and Andrea Poli also suffered injury setbacks at the weekend.
