Francesco Acerbi is set for his Sassuolo debut on Sunday, his first appearance since emergency surgery to remove a tumour.
The former Chievo, Milan and Genoa defender was undergoing a medical at Sassuolo in July to complete his loan move when doctors found abnormal blood test readings.
They discovered a testicular tumour and the 25-year-old went under the knife to remove it.
It’s reported Acerbi will be back in action tomorrow for Sassuolo against Hellas Verona, two months after the operation and potentially life-changing health scare.
