Genoa presented Ricardo Centurion and Joannis Fetfatzidis to the fans today. “I am honoured to play for Italy’s oldest club.”

The signings were completed on transfer deadline day and arrived to begin work at Genoa’s training ground ahead of the clash with Sampdoria on Sunday night.

“I am honoured to play for Italy’s oldest club,” stated Argentine forward Centurion, who is on loan from Racing Club Avellaneda.

“I was struck by the passion of the fans. I am a forward who plays wide right, though I also like playing on the left.

“Physically I am in good shape and I’ll give it my all to give the fans joy, knowing how much they care about the Derby.”

Greek midfielder Fetfatzidis was snapped up from Olympiacos for a reported €4m.

“The Derby is a special game for every player, so we’ll do everything to win it,” added the 22-year-old.

“I generally work on the right, but I am at the disposal of the Coach. My first tactician was Zico and there has been a lot of talk about me, but now I want to do my talking on the pitch.”
