Kaka: 'To be Milan captain...'

Kaka thanked Marco Amelia for letting him wear the Milan captain’s armband. “It gave me shivers.”

The Brazilian made his ‘debut’ for the Rossoneri in a 4-0 friendly win over Swiss side Chiasso on Saturday.

“It has been a fantastic weekend for me,” Kaka told Sky Sport Italia.

“In the friendly it gave me shivers to wear the captain’s armband and it was a real surprise. I didn’t expect it, so I thank Amelia for this honourable gesture.

“We thought together that it would be a nice thing, both for me and for Milan.”

Kaka was in Monza for the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix today, while on Saturday evening he attended Leonardo’s wedding.

The former Milan and Inter Coach’s ceremony to Sky Sport Italia presenter Anna Billò took place at the Palazzo Reale in Milan.

Among those in attendance were Paolo Maldini, Ronaldo, Adriano Galliani, Serginho, Marco Borriello and Billy Costacurta.

Leonardo hit the headlines around the world in March when he proposed to her live on air during an interview.
