Genoa midfielder Francesco Lodi has reflected on his first few weeks at the club, admitting he has to lift his spirits after a tough opening.
The 29-year-old signed for the Grifone this summer from Catania, but has yet to win a game after consecutive losses to Inter and Fiorentina.
“We have faced two very strong teams,” he told Sky Sports Italia. “But we have to look forward now.
“I am confident that we can progress in the League, but first we have to lift our heads – starting with the next match against Sampdoria.
“The derby is a particular challenge, one that’s very important to the club and the fans.”
