Pablo Barrientos has suddenly scrapped his transfer to Qatar. “He’s staying at Catania, that’s the final decision.”
The Argentine creative midfielder had been due to join Al-Jaish for €6m and did not take part in Sunday’s Serie A game against Inter.
However, late this evening Catania President Antonino Pulvirenti revealed it was not going through.
“Barrientos is staying at Catania,” he told Telecolor. “We spoke for a long time, we hugged and that’s the final decision.”
