Lazio are continuing talks with Galatasaray in an effort to sign Burak Yilmaz before the transfer window closes.
The two clubs were close to an agreement last week for the international striker, but no compromise could be reached.
The Turkish giants were unhappy with the number of instalments the capital club wanted to pay the transfer fee in.
There was also some disagreement with regards to certain bonus clauses.
The Biancocelesti will make one last effort to sort out a deal as they are desperate to sign a striker before today’s transfer deadline.
“The Yilmaz situation is blocked,” sporting director Igli Tare told La Lazio Siamo Noi. “We are just waiting. We’ll see what happens over the next few hours…”
Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella has also been paired with the Biancocelesti.
Meanwhile, there is the possibility that Lazio could also sell forward Libor Kozak to Aston Villa for a fee in the region of €6m.
