Rafa Benitez was impressed with Napoli’s 3-0 demolition of Bologna and explained he can rotate his forwards to great effect.

Jose Maria Callejon opened the scoring ahead of Marek Hamsik’s brace, while Gonzalo Higuain had a goal ruled offside in a very tight decision.

“Was I surprised by this performance? No. I saw perfect training sessions and expected this sort of match from my men,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“This team has a lot of quality. In attack we can use any combination of Goran Pandev, Hamsik, Higuain, Callejon and Lorenzo Insigne, as well as another striker. We have the capability to change things around often.

“Why didn’t Insigne start? He had a stomach bug this week, so I preferred Callejon.”

“We are focusing only on ourselves and not what the other teams are doing,” assured Benitez.

“We are happy with our performance and it’s important to start well, though we are only at the beginning. This is a promising sign for the future.”

Juan Camilo Zuniga has still not signed a contract extension and could be sold if he doesn’t put pen to paper soon.

“Zuniga is very important for us. The President, director Riccardo Bigon and I discussed his situation. We received an important offer and he is evaluating it, but he wants to stay here.”
