Milan Primavera boss Pippo Inzaghi has crowned the Diavolo’s Mario Balotelli as the finest striker in Serie A.

Balotelli is only a 23-year-old who was snapped up by the Rossoneri from Manchester City in January for €20m.

“Balotelli is the best centre-forward in the Italian championship,” the former Milan striker told the Corriere dello Sport.

“As a Milan fan, I hope that he ends up as the Serie A top scorer in the new campaign. That would be important for himself, his club and the Italian national side.”

Inzaghi, though, is also a fan of Super Mario’s attacking colleagues at the San Siro for the 2013-14 season.

“Stephan El Shaarawy, who needs to confirm himself, Robinho and Kevin Prince Boateng will alternate around him.

“As will Andrea Petagna, he’s a very good player.”

The latter is an 18-year-old forward.

In 13 games for Milan, ex-Interista Balotelli has scored 12 times.
