Inter defender Juan Jesus has underlined the importance of Sunday’s 4-0 Coppa Italia win over Cittadella.
The Nerazzurri, now bossed by Walter Mazzarri, collected a comfortable victory thanks to goals from Jonathan, Andrea Ranocchia and a Rodrigo Palacio brace.
“It’s always important to win at home,” the Brazilian told Inter Channel. “And it’s even better when you play well and score four goals…
“We have to grow with each game and continue to gain confidence,” he added. “We have to play each match as if it were a Final.”
The Beneamata had a problematic 2012-13 campaign given that they finished the Serie A season in ninth place.
