The Third Round provides a Tuscan derby, which kicks off today at 16.00 UK time at the Stadio Picchi.
“We prepared well both in pre-season training camp and during the week,” said Nicola.
“This is the first ‘real’ match that counts for something and we trained to be prepared for this type of situation.
“Siena will give us a very tough test, as they may have had a few problems with their finances, but have some very experienced players who did well in Serie A.
“I am curious to see how we perform and I’m eager to take on an important opponent. This performance will also give us further guidelines to prepare for the Serie A opening weekend.”
