Milan’s quest to sign CSKA Moscow’s Keisuke Honda and Adem Ljajic of Fiorentina hasn’t excited a former Diavolo.

The Rossoneri have made bids for the midfielder and forward, but deals are yet to be agreed for either.

“They are two good players with different characteristics,” Giuseppe Pancaro, who starred for the club between 2003 and 2005, told Milan News.

“However, neither would allow Milan to take the next step up in quality because they are not top players.”

Japanese international Honda, if he doesn’t join the San Siro club immediately, will do so in January when he will be available on a free transfer.

Ljajic’s future will depend on whether he signs a new contract at Fiorentina as his current agreement will expire next summer.
