President Aurelio De Laurentiis blasted Pablo Daniel Osvaldo. “He’s not good enough for Italy, let alone Napoli.”

The club patron wrote on Twitter after Argentina’s 2-1 friendly win over Italy at the Stadio Olimpico, which saw Gonzalo Higuain and Lorenzo Insigne on target.

“Italy lose, but Napoli win with two sensational goals: Higuain and Insigne,” wrote ADL.

“Compliments to both! Pipita played like a real champion. Lorenzo is a phenomenon who is growing. He came off the bench and transformed Italy. I am proud of him.

“Federico Fernandez was a wall in defence, while Cristian Maggio also did well, but tonight Argentina played better and deserved the victory.

“I do not understand why the newspapers want me to buy Osvaldo. He’s not good enough for Italy, let alone Napoli.”

It was a huge sideswipe at the Roma striker, who is a transfer target for Inter, Tottenham, Southampton and Fulham.
