Diego Laxalt is disappointed his Inter debut was such a dismal game, but hopes to feature against Juventus tonight.

The Uruguayan came off the bench during the 4-0 defeat to Valencia in the Guinness International Champions Cup.

“It is a shame that my debut was a defeat to Valencia and I only played a few minutes, but the first step is done and it was still an enormously joyous moment for me,” he told Inter Channel.

“I hope to continue working hard to put petrol in the tank. Power is an important characteristic for me, but I’m also fairly versatile and do a lot of defensive work for a striker.”

Inter take on Juventus tonight in Miami, so Laxalt could get another run-out.

“I don’t know if I will play today, but I’ll be happy if I get the opportunity. Our objective is to win.”
