Catania goalkeeper Mariano Andujar has conceded that Alejandro Gomez’s move to Metalist is ‘a major loss’.
The striker has left the Elefanti for the Ukrainian club in a deal worth a reported €7m, but the shot-stopper has insisted that his side can kick on from last season’s eighth place finish.
“We are all working hard to repeat the good time we had last year,” he told La Repubblica.
“We are expecting a tough season though, because every team has strengthened. Every team is going to be tough.
“Gomez is an unfortunate loss for us, and hopefully he will be the last one to leave. But I know I am part of an amazing group.”
