Giandomenico Mesto is keen to remain at Scudetto-chasing Napoli despite his lack of action last season.
The midfielder moved to the Stadio San Paolo in August 2012 from Genoa, but he was only used in 16 Serie A games by previous boss Walter Mazzarri.
“Mesto is happy in Naples,” agent Moreno Roggi told Radio CRC on Tuesday. “Wearing the Napoli shirt has always been his dream and he wants to stay here.
“If he does move on, against his wishes, then we will analyse every solution that is available to us.”
The 31-year-old, capped three times by Italy, started his career at Reggina. He’s also played for Cremonese, Fermana and Udinese.
The Azzurri have been revolutionising their squad after Mazzarri joined Inter and star striker Edinson Cavani was sold to Paris Saint-Germain.
