Roma Coach Rudi Garcia left the door open for Pablo Daniel Osvaldo’s departure. “He’s a great striker, though his personality causes problems.”

The tactician spoke to journalists after today’s 1-1 friendly draw with Turkish side Bursaspor.

Osvaldo publicly thanked Francesco Totti for allowing him to take a penalty, as once again fans split between those hurling insults and others supporting the striker.

“He is a great striker and there aren’t many out there like him,” said former Lille boss Garcia.

“He has character and talent, even if at times his personality causes problems. There are things he should not do and in my view he was wrong to answer back to the jeers, even if I know it must be tough when being insulted.

“Roma would be stronger if he stays with us for this season.”

Osvaldo has been repeatedly linked with a move abroad to Tottenham, Southampton or Zenit, but it’s reported he is determined to stay in Serie A.

“The team was tired today, but still worked hard and tried to give their best,” continued the Coach.

“Tin Jedvaj can play in front of the defence. It wasn’t easy for him today, but with Daniele De Rossi still on vacation it was an interesting experiment.”
