Ishak Belfodil has expressed his gratitude to Parma after completing his move to Serie A giants Inter.
The Algerian striker underlined the importance of the Stadio Tardini outfit during his unveiling to the media by the Nerazzurri on Tuesday.
“I'd like to thank the people of Parma,” the 21-year-old striker stated. “That is a place where I improved a lot.”
Belfodil spent just a season at the Tardini, but his eight goals were enough for the Milan outfit to put him at the disposal of new boss Walter Mazzarri.
“I met him a week ago,” the former Lyon and Bologna youngster added. “He's someone who loves his job and who never gives up.
“He's right behind us to make sure we can always do better. And I'll do everything I can to produce my best.
“My position? Mazzarri hasn't said anything to me yet, he simply told me we need to be aware of both roles in attack. My preferred position is as a centre-forward, but I can play wherever needed.”
Belfodil, who will wear the No 7 shirt in the new campaign, is currently training while respecting Ramadan.
“The Coach and staff are helping me a lot, because it's not easy,” he added. “I'm still trying to give everything though, especially as pre-season is so crucial.”
