Milan confirmed a deal for Andrea Poli, their interest in Keisuke Honda and lowering Robinho’s price-tag.
Vice-President Adriano Galliani spoke at a Press conference today to announce Banca Popolare di Milano are their new major sponsors, but was also drawn on transfer gossip.
“Last night we sent Santos our final economic request for Robinho,” confessed Galliani.
It is believed this lowers the original €10m price-tag to €8.5m, while the striker has already said he will cut his wages to push the move through.
Many have reported that Robinho’s sale is necessary before Milan can swoop for CSKA Moscow’s Honda, but Galliani painted a different picture.
“I see Honda as an excellent trequartista. If Robinho were to leave, then we would bring in a support striker instead.
“Urby Emanuelson could remain with us. We’ll have to talk it over with our Coach, otherwise see what offers there are.”
The Rossoneri have snapped up Italy midfielder Poli from Sampdoria and he’ll begin training with his new teammates straight away.
“I had dinner with Poli last night. His move is certain, but not actually official yet. Sampdoria authorised him to have a medical and begin training with us.”
