There’s a new twist in the Robinho-Santos saga, as the Milan striker’s father claims agent Mino Raiola was not authorised to negotiate.

The move risks collapse due to both the requests of the Rossoneri and the player’s wage demands, which this week Santos declared “need to get back to reality.”

Now there is a new twist in the tale, as Robinho’s father has told Brazilian media the talks with Santos were through agent Raiola.

“I saw Mino Raiola only once and we are not friends,” Gilvan de Souza told Lancenet.

“The only people who deal with Robinho’s affairs are me and our lawyer Marisa Ramos.”

Raiola is a very famous agent who among others represents Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Balotelli.

If Robinho’s entourage want to negotiate directly with Santos, it is possible a move could be achieved for the Milan forward.

“He will accept the fact he’ll be earning much less in order to come back to Santos,” added lawyer Ramos.

“I spoke to Santos Vice-President Odilio Rodrigues for the first time last week to study the Robinho situation. If someone else negotiated on his behalf, then they were not authorised to do so.

“What does Robinho think about all this? He was very irritated to hear Santos talk about certain wage demands that he had never made. I don’t know where that money was meant to go, but not to Robinho or Milan.

“I will talk to Milan over the next few days.”
