Mario Gomez is on his way to Fiorentina, the Bayern Munich striker’s agent told German media.
The forward has been consistently linked with a move to Tuscany, albeit with competition from the likes of Napoli.
“Gomez is going towards Fiorentina, but there are no contracts signed yet,” agent Uli Ferber was quoted as saying in Sport1.
The report suggests the transfer will be completed by Thursday, as that is when the Bayern Munich pre-season training camp begins.
Gomez left the get-together with his teammates last week, officially due to a bruised foot.
This is believed to be a deal worth in the region of €10m.
Italian media suggest a meeting has been set up with Bayern directors tonight.
